We have received an influx of Housing cases at our advice clinic. Housing problems are deeply rooted in the community today and many communities such as the Somali, Afghan and Asian communities are experiencing issues with the local housing team. This has resulted in many individuals being branded 'Intentionally Homeless' and and being accused of fraud by their Local Borough. Our advice clinic has helped many individuals both in West London and Brent Cross to have either their benefits fully reinstated or their case considered with more seriousness then before. We can undertake the following;

1. Stopping eviction from your home (Possession proceedings can be prevented if you believe you believe you have a Defence to a claim against you. Perhaps it was unpaid rent arrears your being chased for, or the landlord wants their property back and you have no choice but to comply. You may have an argument in law. Our fees are £350 to make a Defence against your eviction using the Set aside procedure.

2. Intentional homelessness cases- Have you been sent a letter by your local council stating that you will be refused accommodation as you made yourself intentionally homeless?. We have seen this many times and this is usually through no fault of the tenant. We can make appeals and representations on your behalf which will support you in your case stating the relevant statutes such as the Housing Act. Our fee is £350 for this and includes the Review process.

3. Applications to be moved from Band A B C D to larger accommodation. Maybe you are facing overcrowding issues and believe you need to be moved. You may have inhabitable living conditions, dampness, dilapidations in the property and believe you need to be moved to a higher band as your family is growing. Their could be anti social behaviour on the estate which affects your family and has an adverse effect on your well being, your health condition if you have one. Our fee for this work ranges from £350-500 .
